Cajun Comic Relief We had Good Laughs for Goodwill!!! On Saturday, February 27, 2010, Goodwill hosted Cajun Comic Relief, a fundraiser which supports Goodwill's employment and training programs. It was held at the Heymann Performing Arts Center and it was a huge success! Thanks to our sponsors and ticket purchasers for supporting this event which supports Goodwill's community programs. The show was packed with comedy! The entertainers for Cajun Comic Relief donate their services, so that the majority of the price of the tickets goes directly to support Goodwill. We are grateful to the musicians and comedians for their contributions to Goodwill. Cajun Comic Relief is in its 18th year. It would not be so successful without the support of the community as well. This year, we had musicians Mack Johnson and Gino Delafose set the mood for the afternoon and evening with some great Cajun and Zydeco music. These wonderful musicians were followed by the hilarious comedy of Steve Verret, Chad Hayes, and the finalists from The Last Couillon Standing, our own Acadiana comic talent show. The show wrapped up with the comedy of John Morgan, who returned once again to wow the crowd with side-splitting comedy and fun. Please join us again next year for a fun afternoon or evening. More information on next year's show will be posted later in the year.
